Shop Local

Whether you’re a seasoned thrifter, a lover of local goods, or just someone who enjoys the hunt, downtown Wichita Falls has plenty to offer.

Heather Preston

Downtown Wichita Falls is a great place to spend an afternoon, especially if you enjoy browsing shops with character and charm. Around every corner, you’ll find locally owned stores stocked with pieces you won’t see anywhere else. Whether you are hunting for a vintage gem, updating your wardrobe, or simply browsing, these five storefronts each bring something different to the table. From fashion to home goods, they make it easy to shop local and leave with something worth talking about.

Alley Cat Vintage Mercantile

Part antique mall, part creative treasure trove, AlleyCat is the kind of place you can wander for hours. Housed in a sprawling warehouse space, it brings together dozens of local vendors under one roof, each with their own style and specialty. You’ll find vintage furniture, handmade goods, vinyl records, funky decor, and clothing that spans decades. The occasional shop cat adds to the charm, but it’s the constant rotation of finds that keeps people coming back. Whether you are a serious collector or just browsing for fun, AlleyCat is easy to get lost in, and that’s part of the appeal.

Magpie Collective

Magpie Collective is one of those shops where the details matter. Every shelf and display feels carefully gathered, like a curated nest of art, vintage pieces, handmade jewelry, and unexpected finds. There’s a creative energy in the space that reflects the artists and makers it supports: local, intentional, and a little bit offbeat in the best way. Hand-poured candles sit alongside thoughtfully chosen home goods, original prints, and locally made accessories. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or someone else, it’s easy to walk in with no plan and walk out with something that feels like it was waiting for you.

Fashion Garage

Fashion Garage brings secondhand style into the spotlight. Owned by two local women with a sharp eye for fashion, the shop focuses on vintage and resale clothing that feels fresh and wearable. The space is bright and fun, with racks full of statement pieces, everyday staples, and accessories that add a little something extra. Everything is carefully chosen, pressed, and ready to wear, making it easy to mix old and new in a way that feels true to you. Whether you are a longtime thrifter or just looking to try something different, Fashion Garage makes sustainable fashion feel approachable.

Emmalee’s Shop

Emmalee’s Shop is a quiet gem tucked just off the main downtown stretch. Inside, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with vintage finds, consignment pieces, and home accents thoughtfully arranged in a way that makes browsing feel easy. The selection leans classic, with a mix of furniture, seasonal decor, baby gifts, and one-of-a-kind items that change with each visit. Whether you are hunting for something specific or just enjoying the thrill of the search, Emmalee’s offers the kind of thoughtful variety that makes popping in feel worthwhile.

Pickers Universe

Pickers Universe blends vintage shopping with a little bit of everything. Set inside a large, multi-level space, it brings together a wide mix of antiques, furniture, collectibles, and quirky finds from a variety of local vendors. The layout invites exploring, with winding aisles and corners full of personality. Upstairs, the in-house restaurant and rooftop patio offer a great place to take a break, grab a bite, and enjoy the view. Whether you are redecorating a room or just in the mood to browse, Pickers offers a fun, low-pressure way to see what might catch your eye.

Whether you’re a seasoned thrifter, a lover of local goods, or just someone who enjoys the hunt, downtown Wichita Falls has plenty to offer. These five shops each bring something different to the table, but they all share one thing in common: a sense of place and personality you won’t find anywhere else. Make time to explore. Downtown shopping in Wichita Falls isn’t just convenient; it’s full of character, creativity, and small surprises worth discovering.

It has not taken long for newcomer Wichita Falls Brewing Co to make its mark on downtown Wichita Falls. The unique space on the corner of Seventh and Indiana features a 20×10 foot mural by local artist Sorrow. For Matt Bitsche, co-owner of Infamous Brewing in Austin, opening Wichita Falls Brewing was about bringing together two of his passions: brewing beer and revitalizing downtown Wichita Falls. Bitsche boasts that his bold vision is to bring good beer to the good people of Wichita Falls. You may come to the Brewing Co for the suds, but Wichita Falls Brewing is more than a great place to grab a beer with a friend.

Patrons of the establishment rave over the family-friendly atmosphere including a play area for children. Wichita Falls Brewing Co stands as the perfect place for a gathering with its big, comfortable tables, or if you need something more exclusive, they have a loft area for private parties. The establishment frequently hosts live trivia and DJs. One step inside and you won’t want to leave. On your way in, stop by the food trucks parked outside and grab a bite to eat with your refreshment. The Brewing Co is a BYOF establishment (Bring Your Own Food). Did we mention they have great craft beer at excellent (and recently lowered) prices? If you are in a hurry, you can always grab a crowler to go.

The Brewing Co has already partnered with another downtown establishment, Odd Duck, and crafted Odd Duck Coffee Stout. Wichita Falls Brewing is yet another reason to check out downtown the first Thursday of the month (May-October) for the After Hours Art Walks. When looking for a place to kick back, Wichita Falls Brewing provides the perfect atmosphere.

**UPDATE: Since this blog post the brewery has added a kitchen and now Progress & Provision’s scrumptious food is served. The Wichita Falls Brewing Co. is no longer BYOF.
